Why Did Jesus Come To Earth?

The old beloved song asks the question, Why Did My Savior Come to Earth? Todd uses Hebrews 2:14-18 as a springboard for a discussion about all the many reasons the Scriptures give us that answer this question.

When Jesus Comes….Again!

As a follow-up to the first sermon, Todd starts in Acts 1:4-11, where Jesus ascends back up into Heaven, and presents what the Bible has to say about Jesus’ promised return and what that means for all of us.

The Truly Happy Person

Are you a happy person? Many of us may say that we are, but often our happiness is dependent on our circumstances. But the Scriptures teach of a greater happiness, a happiness in any given situation. Psalm 1 provides insight into obtaining this true happiness.

Pillars Of A Godly Home

The home is a key part of God’s plan for mankind. We all want a Godly home, but how exactly can we make this happen for ourselves? Todd examines the home of the centurion Cornelius as an example of what God wants Christian homes to be like.

The Foolishness Of Comparison

Paul, in 2 Corinthians 10:12, declares that those who compare themselves to one another are fools. It can be difficult for us not to fall into the trap of looking toward others to gauge our own success. Rather, we should look to the Scriptures for guidance.

Lies Satan Wants You To Believe

Satan has been a liar since the beginning of time, as we can read about in Genesis chapter 3. Todd uses this familiar Bible event as an introduction to the methods that the Devil uses to lie to us even to this day.

Rest For God’s People

In Hebrews 4:9, the inspired writer promises that there remains a place of rest for the people of God. In today’s busy, stressful world, it can be difficult to find rest, but in this sermon Todd reminds us of the great rest that is to come for the faithful.

Help Wanted!

When Jesus sent his disciples out to evangelize in Luke chapter 10, he stated that the harvest is great, but the laborers are few. Today, we are often discouraged in spreading the Gospel, but Todd uses this sermon to motivate us all to better work in the fields.

And They Glorified God In Me

The Apostle Paul is one of the most intriguing characters in the Bible. Paul himself stated that God was glorified because of his conversion, and Todd expands on this teaching by focusing on what happened when Saul became Paul.

Leftovers

It is easy for us to feel like we don’t belong, like we are just “leftovers” that do not matter. Todd uses Jesus’ miraculous feeding of the thousands from the gospels to begin this sermon of great encouragement.
